 Nepal
is a small country in-between India and China. Although Nepal is a small
country of 141,557 sq. Km it contains the greatest mixture in altitude.
Mt. Everest the highest peak in the world at 8848 meters to the Lowland
Terai, Which is almost at sea level. Nepal has many unique combinations
of attractions, both man made and natural.
The life style of the people is very simple and different. The rhythm of life style is not fast and complicated. Nepal contains an amazing mixture of ethnic and racial groups. In Nepal you can see people who resemble Latin American, Chinese, Arab, Greek, Indian etc. 
Nepal is the meeting place of two great religions Hinduism and Buddhism. Eventhough Nepal is declared a Hindu country, one - third of the population practices Buddhism. Symbhu Nath Symbhu Nath, one of the biggest buddiest stupa (Like a temple) and holy site for buddiest religion, is in Nepal. Symbhu Nath on the top of the little hill, dominates the whole Kathmandu valley. The top of this stupa, Which looks over the Kathmandu Valley is painted with “All seeing eyes.” The nose, Which looks like an incomplete question mark is the Nepali number “one” symbol of unity. This holy site is 2500 years old. The stupa is surrounded on all sides by small temples and shrines. Samir |
